Qualifying Period and Entry Deadline
The qualifying window for the 2024 Boston Marathon is now open, beginning on September 1, 2022, and running through the conclusion of the registration period at 5:00 PM ET on September 15, 2023. This year marks the 128th running of the iconic marathon, presented by Bank of America and scheduled for Monday, April 15, 2024.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the Boston Marathon, runners must submit qualifying race results that demonstrate they have met the required time standards. These standards vary based on age group and gender, and the official qualifying times can be found on the Boston Athletic Association website. Runners who have not yet achieved a qualifying time but still wish to participate in the marathon may apply through the lottery process, which will open later this year.
Registration Process
